Use the Blacklight Blonde Science Blue Shampoo 1–2 times a week, not every day. On other wash days, use a sulfate-free shampoo like our Hydrating Shampoo. If orange or copper tones are strong, go up to 3 times a week until your tone is corrected, then return to 1–2 times.
Leave the Blacklight Blonde Science Blue Shampoo on for 1–5 minutes, then rinse and follow with the Blue Conditioner. Start with 1–2 minutes and leave it longer for stronger orange tones. Darker hair can usually take the full 5 minutes.
Choose the Blacklight Blonde Science Blue Shampoo if your hair turns orange or copper, and the Violet Shampoo if it turns yellow. Blue cancels orange; violet cancels yellow. Avoid blue on platinum or very light blonde hair, where it can leave a slight green tint.

I am someone who is very picky when it comes to toners or toning shampoos. My roots are dyed to level 7 and my ends are level 9 and 10. My goal was to neutralize the brass on my roots (orange) and even out the yellow on the ends. This is the best toning shampoo I ever used. Fanola and Shimmer Lights are super drying, wouldn�t recommend. This product made my ends a nice icy/platinum blonde color. It didn�t neutralize my roots but it made them more vibrant and blended. Im shocked to have found a toning shampoo that makes hair more vibrant and brighter, all past products I used were either too green/blue or dull. This product isn�t perfect (it would be if it tones level 7 and is more hydrating) but I highly recommend it; after 1 use I�m glad to have bought it. Size of bottle is smaller than I thought too but anyways happy.
